The memory of summer ...

The photo you see in the header was taken a couple of weeks ago. Today we remind it, because this is the last opportunity to see the fields full of Physocarpus in such a multi-colored version.
From today, the ordered plants are sent to customers, and the beds are becoming empty.

The good news is that Physocarpus is still available in 14 fabulously colorful varieties (in limited quantities). In various shades of burgundy (Andre, Diabolo, Little Angel, Red Baron ...), gold (Dart's Gold, Magical Raspberry Lemonade®), and green (Little Greeny).

In miniature versions (the whole Little series - Angel, Greeny, Joker, Devil), which look brilliant in groups, combined with, for example, perennials (lines from 741 down in the attached file), and also wonderfully decorate a balcony, terrace, patio...

And, of course, in the form of strongly growing shrubs, which look the most beautiful as informal hedges, or as an element of urban greenery - wherever we want a strong color accent and where we need fast-growing plants that will reach large sizes.

Physocarpus, besides being beautiful, are very friendly to bees which enjoy the sweetness of flowers, and to birds that nest safely in dense shrubs. Physocarpus are healthy and undemanding.
Simply the best!
  • The name Physocarpus comes from the Greek "physa" meaning bladder, bulb, and "karpos" - fruit.
  • The second part of the name "opulifolius" refers to the Viburnum opulus which has a similar leaf shape.
  • The English name is "ninebark" and refers to the bark which peels picturesquely on older shoots and reveals successive layers in various shades of brown.
The minimum order depends on the size of the plants:
  • P9 -> 80 pcs / variety
  • P12 -> 75 pcs / variety
  • P14, C2 -> 50 pcs / variety
  • C3 and bigger -> 25 pcs / variety

FAQ:

How should I make my order?

Complete the "order" column in the attached Excel file and send it to info@hoogenraadplant.nl. Do not change the content of the file, just enter the number of plants ordered. In the email, provide the company name, contact details, and the expected date of receipt of the order - this will help us plan work in the nursery.

When will my order be confirmed?

Every order we receive is confirmed within 48 hours (working days). If during this time you do not receive an email from us, check your “spam” and “offers” or call us.

When can I pick up my order?

We adjust the dates of orders to meet your needs, so report the date of the planned collection 2 weeks in advance (February-April - 3 weeks in advance). This will facilitate the timely, efficient, and correct preparation of plants and their careful packaging.
Pickup of orders is possible from 12 September 2022 till 12 May 2023.

I'm a new customer, when do I have to pay?

We accept cash payments, credit cards, and bank transfers to our bank account based on a pro forma invoice before picking up your order. Pre-payment includes 100% of the order value. After making the payment, please send us confirmation of the transfer because it accelerates the preparation of the plants for pickup.
