Catch the Runaway Bride

This year, white-flowered plants reign and we predict that Hydrangea Runaway Bride will be the hit of the summer.

Is it different from other hydrangeas? Runaway Bride is probably the only hydrangea that blooms along the entire length of the shoots. From the end of July to the end of September it looks like covered with snowballs.
It has overhanging shoots, so it looks beautiful in hanging containers. Grows well both in big pots and in the soil. Runaway Bride grows up to about 80-100 cm in height and width. It requires a sheltered position because it doesn't like wind, especially in winter. Flowering shoots you can prune after flowering, but it's best to do that in spring because the overblown flowers are natural protection for young buds from frost.

I associated blue berries of Cornus amomum 'Blue Cloud' (dogwood) with Rod Steward's song...
Blue Clouds has elegant, dark green leaves in the summer, which in autumn delight with a deep, burgundy color. In May-June, numerous white flowers appear, and at the end of summer, blue, shiny berries attract attention. Young shoots have a cherry color.
It can grow on almost any soil, in sunny and semi-shaded places, in private gardens and urban greenery. Very hardy - zone 4.
Blue Cloud can be pruned. Without pruning, it grows to 2 m heights and 3 m width.

Deutzia got the name after Jean Deutz, 18th-century Dutch patron of botany

The white, star-shaped flowers of Deutzia lemoinei are blooming in the gardens, and the bushes look like white clouds (sorry, this newsletter is cloudy...). It's an easy to grow, hardy shrub that likes sunny or slightly shady locations. Flowers, on slender stems, appear on two-year shoots, so we recommend pruning after flowering. Deutzia lemoinei grows up to about 1 meter in height.
