They are traditional for English-style gardens, as well as the Far East, China, and Japan, which assume that
the basis of a garden is the natural beauty of plants that are constantly changing in time and space.
We are happy to observe the intense trend of returning to nature and the increasing popularity of perennials. We can see them in home gardens, on squares, under trees, along sidewalks and streets, as "slowdowns" on streets where children play, on roundabouts, in palace gardens, and at (and on) modern office buildings.
Everywhere perennials add color, movement, life, and smell, affect all our senses. They attract insects, stimulating the imagination of adults and children and encouraging them to learn about native fauna (especially entomology). They improve biodiversity... and much more.
A wide selection of species and varieties means that
we can choose them for all conditions. Both for shaded places, such as Anemone, Astilbe, Bergenia, Brunnera, Hosta, Luzula, Tiarella, and for sunny places, such as Aster, Echinacea, Gaura, Geranium, Heuchera, Salvia, Veronica ... Let us only mention a few possibilities.
High or low on the ground, flowing down in picturesque cascades from low walls or filling the space between the stones of rock gardens. All color combinations are possible - subdued or contrasting.
Different flowering times allow you to create
compositions that are attractive from early spring to the end of summer, and even in winter (e.g. grasses or plants with interesting seed heads that become a natural work of art when they die).
Perennials look great when planted together, in large groups, in a cluster of perennials themselves, but also as a complement to beds with deciduous and coniferous shrubs, heathers, and rhododendrons.
The possibilities depend on the fantasy, needs, and requirements of the plants themselves.
