Cornus alba is becoming increasingly vibrant!
Our city walks often inspire topics for our newsletters. This time, we focused on Cornus alba, which is becoming increasingly vibrant as its intensely colored shoots develop more leaves in various shades, including green, yellow, white-green, green-pink, and green-yellow. They look fantastic!
Cornus alba is one of the most popular species used in urban greenery. It offers year-round decoration: in winter, its colorful shoots stand out; in spring, it blooms profusely, attracting pollinating insects; and in summer and autumn, its leaves display brilliant colors. This resilient plant has no special habitat requirements; it can thrive in both sun and shade, tolerates pruning well, and is completely frost-resistant.
We are pleased to inform you that we still have the most popular varieties of Cornus alba available, including the stunning 'Aurea', 'Elegantissima', 'Siberian Pearls', and 'Sibirica Variegata'.
Another notable group of dogwoods featured in our nursery is Cornus sanguinea, represented by two varieties that dazzle in winter with their striking orange shoots: 'Anny Winter Orange' and 'Winter Beauty'.
Additionally, we have 400 pieces of Cornus kousa chinensis, whose horizontal branches bear flowers grouped in small, capitate inflorescences. These resemble yellow-green pompons perched atop white-cream bracts, which are the plant’s main decorative feature. The flowers appear in late May to early June, and in autumn, the plant showcases red, spherical fruits that are edible, although not very tasty.
We hope you find the perfect offerings for your customers in the attached plant list and send your order as soon as possible.
