White flowers and a fragrance that belongs to summer
Philadelphus, commonly known as mock orange, is one of those shrubs that is hard to miss when in flower. Its elegant white blooms appear in abundance in early summer and, in many varieties, bring with them the characteristic sweet fragrance for which Philadelphus is so well known.
With 16 varieties still available in our assortment, there is plenty to choose from.
And although white flowers may be the common thread, the differences between the varieties are surprisingly large.
Looking for something beyond green foliage?
Philadelphus coronarius ‘Aureus’ immediately stands out with its bright golden-yellow foliage. Combined with the white flowers, it creates a fresh contrast even before flowering begins.
Philadelphus coronarius ‘Mirador’ also combines attractive foliage with abundant white flowers, while Philadelphus maculatus ‘Mexican Jewel’ adds fragrant white blooms and a distinctive, elegant appearance.
