Orange is King
This Saturday we celebrate King Willem Alexander's birthday, which means the entire country will turn orange. Starting from cakes to our clothes and makeup.
We believe that gardens and garden centers will also turn orange, as most of our orange plants have already been sold and reached their destination. (Remember to order orange plants from the new offer in July).
Orange is beautiful all year round, not only on April 27, so we highly recommend orange-flowering Potentilla, among which you will find varieties such as:
- 'Sunset', which grows to about 50 cm in height.
- 'Orange Star' with very orange flowers and up to 50 cm high.
- 'Mango Tango'® with cheerful, two-color, orange-yellow flowers, grows to about 70 cm in height.
- 'Marmalade'® with double flowers and a very compact shape (in the photo in the header), which reaches about 80 cm in height.
- 'Hopley's Orange' with spreading shoots (great as a groundcover) and a final height of about 50 cm and a width of 1 m.
All of them, typically for Potentilla, bloom for a long time - from summer to late autumn. They are resistant to diseases and tolerate winters well. Spring pruning encourages their thickening and even more abundant flowering.
They are suitable for private gardens, street plantings, containers, and low hedges. They bloom most beautifully in sunny places and have little soil requirements.
Let us know which ones you would like to offer to your customers.
