Both have flowers in intriguing shades of purple/lilac pink. Both are small (only 80 cm high and similar in width) with an elegant, round shape.
They fit perfectly into even the most miniature garden and containers on a terrace.
In larger spaces, they look amazing when planted in a large (multi-colored) group. Imagine a giant patch of purple flowers against the darker green of other plants, or against the dark purple flowers of Geranium 'Rozanne'®, or plants with yellow leaves/flowers. How about composition with the almost black Ophiopogon plan. 'Niger' that will enhance the lilac color of Buddleja's flowers?
