Today we present several plants which, thanks to their special characteristics, help us stay healthy (and beautiful), and face our daily challenges more easily. Let's have some fruit!

The northern highbush blueberry - Vaccinium corymbosum

extremely tasty and very healthy

Blueberry fruits have a positive effect on the whole organism, improve eyesight, help lower cholesterol and prevent disease (cancer). They contain the necessary micro and macro elements, such as calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. They are not very caloric, so they can be eaten by people who try to lose weight. The fruit tastes delicious as fresh or as an addition to desserts (ice cream, cakes, cocktails) and in the form of jams.

American blueberry should be planted in acidic peat mixed with the soil (we get the right pH and provide the optimal structure of the ground). Shrubs should be planted 3-5 cm deeper than they grow in a container. In professional cultivation, bushes should grow at intervals of 1.2-2 m from each other, distance between rows of 3 m, which facilitates mechanical cultivation and harvesting. In hobby cultivation, the shrubs can grow a bit more densely – 1 m from each other, rows every 2.5 m. Planting shrubs in the north-south direction ensure even sun exposure and better maturation of the fruit.
