Today's headline bee landed for two reasons
One is that the bee and we work as fast as we can. The bee collects nectar and pollen, and we collect, prepare and ship the plants all over the world. The list of countries where our plants take root grows from year to year.
Another reason we chose Caryopteris (and the bee) for today's headline is that it is one of the most attractive late summer plants. For several months it remained somewhat hidden with its green-gray leaves to show what it can do now (well, unless we're talking about Caryopteris cland. 'Hint of Gold'PBR, Gold Crest® or 'Worcester Gold' with golden yellow leaves, or Summer Sorbet'® with green-yellow leaves).
Caryopteris blooms with various shades of blue, violet, and delicate pink (such as Caryopteris cland. 'Stephi'®) and attracts ... It attracts insects (especially bees), and it attracts our eyes.
Our editor-in-chief, a true plant geek, takes pictures of Caryoptris even in the rain because "the drops on flower stamens and pistils look so beautiful!"
Here you can download the Caryopteris Variety Guide and check the color of flowers, leaves, and maximum sizes.
