Delicious when fresh...
They are healthy, tasty, suitable for hobby and professional cultivation, and... bring quite good profit. The American blueberry, Vaccinium corymbosum, is one of the most frequently eaten fruits. Large, blue* berries, dusted with white epicuticular wax, hide juicy, sweet (but not sickly!) flesh. They taste delicious when fresh, they add character to morning muesli, or sweet baked goods and make your hand unconsciously reach for another piece of cake... They are irresistible!
One of the best features of blueberries is that they can be frozen and enjoy their taste and aroma long after the season.
Our offer includes varieties that can be successfully planted in plantations (e.g. 'Bluecrop', 'Duke', 'Spartan', 'Toro') or offered to retail customers for cultivation in their home gardens (e.g. 'Flamingo® with pink colored leaves).
What should you advise when offering Vaccinium corymbosum plants to retail customers?
- Preparation of the substrate and ensuring acidic pH are crucial
- Vaccinium corymbosum needs regular watering and fertilization
- To get better yields, plant several bushes (preferably different varieties) next to each other.
Practical Tip
Prepare special sets of at least 3 plants in advance and add a nice label or information leaflet (it can be in digital form to download with a QR code). This way, you will improve your sales process and make shopping easier for your customers.
Why is it worth eating blueberries?

*Let's remember about varieties with pink berries, which are temporarily out of stock.
