We don't know about your place, but here it's grey, wet and depressing.
That's why our thoughts are directed to the vivid colours of the
Berberis available in our offer. We hope that the idea of juicy, intense colours will also improve your mood.
We start sunny, i.e. with the Berberis thunb.
'Aurea', a yellow-leafed variety ideal for low hedges (up to approx. 1-1.2 m high) and interesting colour combinations. Important - 'Aurea' colours most beautifully in semi-shady places, it does not like full sun.
Another yellow variety perfect for a medium-height hedge is the columnar variety Berberis thunb.
'Golden Pillar'.
If your clients are looking for a variety with light green/yellowish leaves, fabulous, fiery autumn discolourations and a spreading habit, then offer them Berberis thunb.
'Green Ornament'. This stronger growing shrub (up to 2 m high) works well as a contrasting element in composition with darker plants or as a trimmed hedge. It can grow in a sunny or semi-shady spot and is suitable for urban greenery.
Another example of a yellow-leafed variety with a spreading habit, but a small target height (approx. 80 cm), is Berberis thunbergii
'Sunsation'. It can be planted in flower beds, in groups, singly, and also as a ground cover plant. In summer, it delights with intensely yellow leaves, and in autumn - orange.
Another variety that we recommend today is Berberis thunb.
'Deep Purple' (pbr), which with its beetroot-red leaves and small target dimensions (approx. 40-50 cm high), fits perfectly into decorative containers or compositions with silver-leafed plants, e.g.
Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' (row 1105 of the attached file).
Another, lighter shade of red can be found in the Berberis thunbergii
'Lutin Rouge' variety. Planted in full sun, it will attract attention with its intense red leaves; planted in the shade - it will turn green. After 7 years, it will reach its target dimensions, i.e. about 50 cm high and 30 cm wide.
That's all for today, to cheer you up. In addition to the varieties described above, we have a wide and beautiful assortment of small, and large, in shades of red, green, columnar, spreading and ...
Check the list, you will definitely find what you are looking for and what your customers will like.
