Vigorous decidous shrub with large, flat flowers up to 22 cm, from early to late summer. Huge, cobalt blue florets surround a central cluster of tiny fertile blue flowers. In alkaline soils, the flowers turn to soft pink. Grows up to 2 m height and 1,5 m wide. x0dx0aPrefers part shade places and rich, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Tolerant of sun if the soil remains moist. x0dx0aPruning - after flowering, to a pair of healthy buds.
