Ilex meserveae 'Heckenstar' is an evergreen shrub with beautifully glossy, deep green serrated leaves that do not sting. 'Heckenstar' grows faster than 'Blue Prince', one of its parents, and has very dense branching. In a year it may grow 20 to 30" (50 to 80 cm).
