Syringa Spotlight

Syringa, commonly known as lilac, is a beloved genus that brings a rich display of flowers and a wonderfully fragrant presence to the garden in spring. Its abundant flower panicles appear in a wide range of colours, from pure white and soft pink to delicate lilac and deep purple, making Syringa a true eye-catcher.

With its elegant appearance, strong growth and highly scented blooms, Syringa is a valuable choice for borders, specimen planting and flowering hedges. The combination of rich flowering and fragrance makes it a timeless favourite for gardens and landscapes.

This week, we are highlighting three distinctive varieties from our Syringa assortment: Syringa Flowerfesta®, Syringa vulgaris ‘Madame Florent Stepman’ and Syringa meyeri ‘Palibin’.

🌸 Syringa Flowerfesta®
A compact and richly flowering lilac series that combines an abundance of fragrant blooms with a neat, well-branched growth habit. Available in Pink, Purple and White, the Flowerfesta® series offers a beautiful range of colours for gardens, patios and landscape planting. Its compact size makes it particularly suitable for smaller gardens, borders and containers, while the abundant flower clusters create a striking display in spring.

🤍 Syringa vulgaris ‘Madame Florent Stepman’
A classic and elegant lilac variety, admired for its large, fragrant flower panicles in a beautiful creamy-white colour. The abundant blooms appear in spring and create a fresh, bright display that contrasts beautifully with the dark green foliage. With its vigorous growth and strong garden performance, ‘Madame Florent Stepman’ is an excellent choice for borders, specimen planting and flowering hedges.

💜 Syringa meyeri ‘Palibin’
A compact and slow-growing lilac with a naturally rounded, well-branched habit. In late spring, it produces an abundance of fragrant, soft lilac-pink flower panicles, creating a charming and colourful display. Thanks to its compact growth, ‘Palibin’ is an excellent choice for smaller gardens, borders, patios and container planting. It is also well suited for use as a low flowering hedge or as a small specimen plant.

Together, these varieties showcase the versatility of Syringa, from compact plants for patios and smaller gardens to vigorous varieties for larger landscape applications. With their rich flowering, beautiful colours and delightful fragrance, they bring lasting ornamental value to every garden.

How should I make my order?

Complete the “order” column in the attached Excel file and send it to info@hoogenraadplant.nl. Do not change the content of the file, just enter the number of plants ordered. In the email, provide the company name, contact details, and the expected date of receipt of the order – this will help us plan work in the nursery.

When will my order be confirmed?

Every order we receive is confirmed within 48 hours (working days). If during this time you do not receive an email from us, check your “spam” and “offers” or call us.

When can I pick up my order?

We adjust the dates of orders to meet your needs, so report the date of the planned collection 2 weeks in advance (February-April – 3 weeks in advance). This will facilitate the timely, efficient, and correct preparation of plants and their careful packaging.
Pickup of orders is possible from Week 47 till week 19.

I’m a new customer, when do I have to pay?

We accept cash payments, credit cards, and bank transfers to our bank account based on a pro forma invoice before picking up your order. Pre-payment includes 100% of the order value.
