Strong performers for shade

Hostas remain one of the most dependable foliage crops for shade-focused ranges, valued for their broad leaf forms, color variation and strong garden recognition. From bold blue structures to bright golds and crisp variegation, they offer clear visual diversity that translates directly to retail choice.

Our picks this week:

Hosta ‘August Moon’
A golden-leaved Hosta with broad, heart-shaped foliage that brings warmth and light into shade assortments. Its yellow to pale green foliage gives it clear retail visibility and makes it a strong contrast plant within mixed Hosta ranges. Available in P12.

Hosta ‘Elegans’
A classic blue-grey Hosta with large, puckered foliage and a strong architectural feel. Its broad leaves and established reputation make it a dependable choice for traditional shade planting and foliage-led perennial ranges. Available in P9.

Hosta ‘Twilight’
A variegated Hosta with green centres and bright margins, giving clear contrast on the bench and in the garden. Its foliage pattern makes it useful for buyers looking to add brightness and structure to shade assortments. Available in P9.

Hosta ‘Sorbet’®
A refined variegated Hosta with green leaves, white margins and distinctive red flower stems. The combination of foliage contrast and coloured stems gives it a more detailed, contemporary look within the range. Available in P12.

Hosta ‘Mighty Mouse’
A compact, small-growing Hosta with rounded leaves and creamy margins. Its neat scale makes it especially relevant for compact displays, container concepts and collector-focused Hosta selections. Available in P12.

FAQ:

How should I make my order?

Complete the “order” column in the attached Excel file and send it to info@hoogenraadplant.nl. Do not change the content of the file, just enter the number of plants ordered. In the email, provide the company name, contact details, and the expected date of receipt of the order – this will help us plan work in the nursery.

When will my order be confirmed?

Every order we receive is confirmed within 48 hours (working days). If during this time you do not receive an email from us, check your “spam” and “offers” or call us.

When can I pick up my order?

We adjust the dates of orders to meet your needs, so report the date of the planned collection 2 weeks in advance (February-April – 3 weeks in advance). This will facilitate the timely, efficient, and correct preparation of plants and their careful packaging.
Pickup of orders is possible from week 37 (2025) to week 18 (2026).

I’m a new customer, when do I have to pay?

We accept cash payments, credit cards, and bank transfers to our bank account based on a pro forma invoice before picking up your order. Pre-payment includes 100% of the order value. After making the payment, please send us confirmation of the transfer because it accelerates the preparation of the plants for pickup.
