Novelties for the 2022-2023 season
Today’s edition is blooming and full of love. All thanks to plants from Van Vliet New Plants, who we know for their passion for colors and flowers and the constant search for new products.
Vintage love?
We know them as flowering machines, filled with flowers so tightly that only bees can squeeze in there. Besides, they shamelessly show their beauty even twice a season – in spring and in late summer/autumn.
Moreover, they are compact, ideal for gardens and terraces, and easy to care for.
Meet three unique variants from the Love series:
- Weigela x ‘JS4’ (PBR) Big Love with numerous, rosa-purple flowers and bright green leaves.
- Weigela x ‘Slinco2’ (PBR) Cherry Love with cherry, dark, and very expressive flowers. Cherry Love flowers easily, and has a compact, spherical shape (it is even more compact than the handsome ‘Red Prince’).
- Weigela x ‘TVP1’ (PBR) Vintage Love tempts with the contrast between numerous light flowers and dark leaves, which are dark green in spring and dark red in summer.
Football in good weather
These unique representatives of Hydrangea serrata are named after FC Barcelona and the winning match played in the morning, with a gentle cloud cover and a colorful sunset that closes the day:
- Hydrangea serrata ‘Barca’ (PBR) with flowers in the colors of the logo of FC Barcelona football club – bright pink and change to blue. Always blooms nicely on the 1-year-old branches, on top of the plant.
- Hydrangea serrata ‘Blue Clouds’ (PBR) forms a big blue cloud of flowers! Has a naturally compact and ball-shaped habit. The first flowers appear already in May and last until September. During the flowering period, the bi-colored flowers change in color from pink to blue.
- Hydrangea serrata ‘Morning Glory’ (PBR) has double pink flowers which are unique for Hydrangea serrata varieties. Morning Glory blooms 1-year-old branches, from May until September and has a compact ball-shaped habit. The flowers are fairly open but always flower uniform.
- Hydrangea serrata ‘Magic Sunset’ (PBR) constantly changes in color. From May until September the flowers change from bright pink to deep dark blue. Magic Sunset has a naturally compact and round habit, is frost-hardy, and flowers abundantly on 1-year-old branches every year.
In a week – another portion of new products in our offer! The full list of plants that we are preparing for the 2022-2023 season will be published in 2 weeks.
