Berberis enchants us in every season

The photo in the header was taken a few weeks ago, capturing the vibrant scene filled with an intense fragrance. Colorful leaves adorned with sunny yellow flowers caught everyone’s attention.
Whether the leaves were green or red, Berberis stood out, beautifully competing with blooming cherry trees. On the patio, the eye was drawn to the slower-growing varieties featuring orange-red, fiery leaves that shimmered in the sunlight.

Berberis enchants us in every season: in spring, with the emergence of young, colorful leaves; in summer, as an essential component of diverse plant compositions, including perennials; and in autumn, when it transforms into warm, striking hues. Even in winter, Berberis remains valuable, attracting birds that feast on its juicy berries.

We believe Berberis is a versatile plant that requires minimal maintenance. It has low soil requirements, responds well to pruning, and can thrive in containers on the patio, as ground cover, or as a trimmed or natural hedge.
The numerous varieties, colors, and forms create virtually endless possibilities for compositions. Berberis enhances gardens, urban landscapes, parks, and streets, adding color and showcasing its adaptability throughout the seasons.

Check today’s list of available plants to see which varieties pique your interest. Berberis options start on line 53, with a wide selection of colors including yellow, pink, dark red, light red, and green. Varieties range from dwarf and spherical to ground cover and columnar, with some growing more vigorously than others.

Please let us know as soon as possible which varieties you choose for your customers, as some options are available in very limited quantities!

The minimum order depends on the size of the plants:

FAQ:

How should I make my order?

Complete the “order” column in the attached Excel file and send it to info@hoogenraadplant.nl. Do not change the content of the file, just enter the number of plants ordered. In the email, provide the company name, contact details, and the expected date of receipt of the order – this will help us plan work in the nursery.

When will my order be confirmed?

Every order we receive is confirmed within 48 hours (working days). If during this time you do not receive an email from us, check your “spam” and “offers” or call us.

When can I pick up my order?

We adjust the dates of orders to meet your needs, so report the date of the planned collection 2 weeks in advance (February-April – 3 weeks in advance). This will facilitate the timely, efficient, and correct preparation of plants and their careful packaging.
Pickup of orders is possible from 09-09-2024 till 03-05-2025.

I’m a new customer, when do I have to pay?

We accept cash payments, credit cards, and bank transfers to our bank account based on a pro forma invoice before picking up your order. Pre-payment includes 100% of the order value. After making the payment, please send us confirmation of the transfer because it accelerates the preparation of the plants for pickup.
