Meet our Taxus
Today, we continue our discussion on coniferous plants. In our opinion, we can never talk enough about these beautiful and useful varieties.
We invite you to get acquainted with Taxus, which are currently available in several varieties. Let’s start with the most popular hedge varieties: Taxus media ‘Hicksii’ and ‘Hillii’. Both of these varieties grow relatively quickly, thicken well, and tolerate shaping and trimming exceptionally. They are ideal not only for hedges but also serve as excellent material for garden sculptors, as they can be shaped into exquisite columns, letters, vases, animals, or anything else you can imagine.
Other varieties we recommend for hedges include Taxus media ‘Groenland’, ‘Densiformis‘, and Taxus baccata Best Hedge ‘Jotab1 PBR’, whose name speaks for itself. For situations where a narrow shape is required and pruning is not needed, Taxus baccata ‘Fastigiata Robusta’ or ‘David’ are fantastic choices.
All the yews we offer are nicely shaped (see the photos below) and have a healthy, well-formed root system. They are ready for direct sale. When transplanted into larger containers or planted in the ground, they will mature into plants suitable for both public and private spaces.
Taxus plants are irreplaceable in shaded areas and thrive in slightly acidic soils. They are also resistant to low temperatures.
Taxus starts on line 517 of the attached file. Please review and send your order. We encourage you to confirm your collection date for the ordered plants as soon as possible, as the loading calendar fills up very quickly!
Do you have any questions? Not sure about a trusted carrier? Feel free to reach out; we will respond promptly and help you organize transport.
The minimum order depends on the size of the plants:
- P9 -> 80 pcs / variety
- P12 -> 75 pcs / variety
- P14, C2 -> 50 pcs / variety
- C3 and bigger -> 25 pcs / variety
FAQ:
How should I make my order?
Complete the “order” column in the attached Excel file and send it to info@hoogenraadplant.nl. Do not change the content of the file, just enter the number of plants ordered. In the email, provide the company name, contact details, and the expected date of receipt of the order – this will help us plan work in the nursery.
When will my order be confirmed?
Every order we receive is confirmed within 48 hours (working days). If during this time you do not receive an email from us, check your “spam” and “offers” or call us.
When can I pick up my order?
We adjust the dates of orders to meet your needs, so report the date of the planned collection 2 weeks in advance (February-April – 3 weeks in advance). This will facilitate the timely, efficient, and correct preparation of plants and their careful packaging.
Pickup of orders is possible from 09-09-2024 till 03-05-2025.
I’m a new customer, when do I have to pay?
We accept cash payments, credit cards, and bank transfers to our bank account based on a pro forma invoice before picking up your order. Pre-payment includes 100% of the order value. After making the payment, please send us confirmation of the transfer because it accelerates the preparation of the plants for pickup.
