This is exactly what you can offer your customers…

I remember staying in one of the national parks. A wide river pool and wet meadows, mowed once or maybe twice a year. And I remember the silence from the sounds of civilization. There were birds singing and the gentle rustle of grass swaying in the wind. Just… the gentle rustle of the grass…

And this is exactly what you can offer your customers – the mesmerizing, calming rustle of grass enriched with a decorative aspect in the form of impressive inflorescences (e.g. those in the photo in the header).

If you ask us which grasses we recommend the most, we will not give a clear answer. Certainly, in our opinion, grasses look best when planted in groups.

High-growing species, such as Miscanthus, which grows up to 1.5-2.5 m in height (depending on the variety), are recommended for seasonal hedges and … plant labyrinths (an interesting option for urban greenery).

And if you need to fill decorative pots or flower beds, we recommend Pennisetum, which grows up to several dozen centimeters in height and has picturesque, hanging inflorescences that make the plant look like a fountain gushing water (hence the English name – fountain grass). Or maybe Stipa tenuissima Pony Tails™, which, well… resembles horse tails spread at a gallop. Very picturesque!

Or, if we want to emphasize the soaring, elegant character of the composition, let’s pay attention to Calamagrostis, which forms quite narrow clumps, richly decorated with ears of corn.

For those who need something low but impressive, we recommend Festuca, with steel-blue, narrow leaves. And if we combine it with Ophiopogon plan. ‘Niger’, a perennial with almost black leaves that looks like grass, the effect will satisfy the most refined tastes.

Details about the colors and target heights of the Pennisteum can be found on our website.
And if you have questions about other grasses, we are here to help. Check the list, perennials and grasses start at row 714!

The minimum order depends on the size of the plants:

FAQ:

How should I make my order?

Complete the “order” column in the attached Excel file and send it to info@hoogenraadplant.nl. Do not change the content of the file, just enter the number of plants ordered. In the email, provide the company name, contact details, and the expected date of receipt of the order – this will help us plan work in the nursery.

When will my order be confirmed?

Every order we receive is confirmed within 48 hours (working days). If during this time you do not receive an email from us, check your “spam” and “offers” or call us.

When can I pick up my order?

We adjust the dates of orders to meet your needs, so report the date of the planned collection 2 weeks in advance (February-April – 3 weeks in advance). This will facilitate the timely, efficient, and correct preparation of plants and their careful packaging.
Pickup of orders is possible from 11-9-2023 till 24-5-2024.

I’m a new customer, when do I have to pay?

We accept cash payments, credit cards, and bank transfers to our bank account based on a pro forma invoice before picking up your order. Pre-payment includes 100% of the order value. After making the payment, please send us confirmation of the transfer because it accelerates the preparation of the plants for pickup.
