Lavender…

It has grace. It’s elegant, sensual, symbolizes femininity and beauty.

In the old days, a young man going to the one of his heart hid a bouquet of lavender up his sleeve. Handing it over to his beloved, he expressed his love and … readiness for amorous suffering.

The name Lavandula comes from the Latin “lavare” – to bathe, wash. In the Mediterranean region, it was a common bath addition because it soothes with its fragrance, relieving pain and healing wounds. In the 16th century, Elizabeth I Tudor drank tea with lavender to weaken the migraines that plagued her. Interestingly, modern research confirms that lavender oil is effective in relieving headaches (and other types of pain).

Lavender oil is used in perfume production and Provence, famous for its lavender fields, is one of the most important centers of the perfume industry.

In addition to its beneficial effects on our health, well-being, and atmosphere, lavender attracts bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. And it repels mosquitoes, ticks, black flies, and cloth moths.

So many benefits!

FAQ:

How should I make my order?

Complete the “order” column in the attached Excel file and send it to info@hoogenraadplant.nl. Do not change the content of the file, just enter the number of plants ordered. In the email, provide the company name, contact details and the expected date of receipt of the order – this will help us plan work in the nursery.

When will my order be confirmed?

Every order we receive is confirmed within 48 hours. If during this time you do not receive an email from us, check your “spam” and “offers” or call us.

When can I pick up my order?

We adjust the dates of orders to meet your needs, so report the date of the planned collection 2 weeks in advance (February-April – 3 weeks in advance). This will facilitate the timely, efficient, and correct preparation of plants and their careful packaging.
Pickup of orders is possible from September 2021 to mid-May 2022.

I’m a new customer, when do I have to pay?

We accept cash payments or bank transfers to our bank account based on a pro forma invoice before picking up your order. Pre-payment includes 100% of the order value. After making the payment, please send us confirmation of the transfer because it accelerates the preparation of the plants for pickup.
