The colorful leaves…

We continue with autumn themes and plants that cannot be missed in compositions that are supposed to delight at this time of year. We are talking about Japanese maples Acer palmatum.

The colorful leaves of Acer palmatum, in all shades of red and orange, are flooding autumn social media, memory cards in phones and cameras, and private messages. We also love these moments when fiery colors appear on the beds. Today we want to draw your attention to several varieties that are available in our nursery (details can be found in the attached list).

A classic of Japanese maples, ideal for grafting other varieties, i.e. Acer palmatum P9. We love it for its vivid green leaves in summer and discoloration in autumn. Our plants are well-rooted and have a strong main shoot.

Another classic is Acer palmatum ‘Atropurpureum’. Probably the most popular variety with red leaves in summer and fabulously colorful in autumn. It colors most beautifully in light places, sheltered from the cold, winter wind, in fertile, moderately moist soils with a slightly acidic pH. It looks extremely picturesque by the water or as a strong color accent among conifers. It grows to 5-8 m high, and has beautifully, cascading shoots. Acer palmatum ‘Atropurpureum’ is available in three options:

If your customers want a variety with darker leaves, feel free to recommend Acer palmatum ‘Bloodgood’ (in C3, so ready for sale), which you still have time to order.

Pay attention to Acer palmatum. ‘Inaba-shidare’ in C2, grafted onto a trunk with picturesquely hanging shoots covered with dark red, feathery leaves, which creates a beautiful, spreading dome. We recommend planting it near water holes, streams, or on raised flower beds, or walls, to highlight its values even better. Note: only a few hundred pieces are available!

Do we have other varieties, e.g. Acer palmatum ‘Orange Dream’, ‘Dissectum’ or ‘Summergold’? Yes, we do, but in very limited quantities, about 300-500 pieces each. And here there is no point in waiting too long to send the order, because, as we say in Holland, op=op, i.e. sold out and gone.

Do you have any questions? Don’t know how to organize transport? Write to us, we will answer, advise, and help.

The minimum order depends on the size of the plants:
