Berberis thunbergii 'Maria' is a deciduous shrub of about one meter high (3 ft). The young shoots are bright red in spring. Then the foliage is deeply yellow, only slightly fading in summer. Even on warm and sunny days, the foliage will not suffer from sun burn.x0dx0a'Maria' is very mildew resistant.
