Shade-tolerant, frost-resistant climber. Attaches with the roots - poorly. It reaches 20 m (0.5-1 m per year). Stems copper-brown with flaky bark. Green leaves, turn to yellow in autumn. White flowers in flat inflorescences; VI-VII. Prefers moist and acidic soils; shaded positions. Recommended for planting on northern walls, large trees, and other supports as well as ground cover.
