Hydrangeas fit this year’s garden trends!

A walk in the neighborhood brings observations of diverse habits regarding the care of these plants. In some gardens, hydrangeas have already been pruned in the fall or on sunny days last weeks. In others, they are still waiting their turn.

Your customers most often love these plants for their beauty and being maintenance-free. Apart from spring pruning (we are talking about Hydrangea paniculata and Hydrangea arborescens, of course), there is no work to do with them, but a lot of joy.

We often forget that hydrangeas look beautiful not only in the garden but also as cut flowers. We checked – cut flowers from your own garden are one of the garden trends this year.
So… what about impressive inflorescences such as Hydrangea paniculata ‘Hercules’®, ‘Skyfall’PBR, or ‘Vanille-Fraise’PBR or amazing discolorations such as ‘Graffiti’®? Do they match the trend?
In our garden, we pruned ‘Skyfall’PBR in autumn and used the huge, dried inflorescences for winter decoration. To this day, they look beautiful combined with the dark green of branches of Taxus (photo taken today – click here). That’s another great way of using Hydrangea’s flowers – dry compositions for indoor and outdoor.

Speaking of colors, in the upcoming season we focus on colors that bring peace, such as subtle whites, pale purples, dusty pinks, and delicate reds. And what better fits these assumptions than the discoloration of hydrangea inflorescences?

Another trend, i.e. the turning of every, even the smallest piece of space into a green space. Whether it’s a postage stamp-sized garden or a balcony that fits a chair and 1 flowerpot, every space has the potential to become a miniature garden. And here comes the hydrangea again. Miniature varieties like ‘Little Fresco’PBR, ‘Petite Star’ pbr, or ‘Polestar’® fit perfectly into miniature garden settings.

See which varieties we still have available, and choose the ones that will appeal to your customers the most and will ensure good sales for you (BTW, did you know that our Hydrangea paniculata are available in P9, P12, P14, and C5?).

Placing an order is as easy as … hydrangea maintenance 😉

The minimum order depends on the size of the plants:

FAQ:

How should I make my order?

Complete the “order” column in the attached Excel file and send it to info@hoogenraadplant.nl. Do not change the content of the file, just enter the number of plants ordered. In the email, provide the company name, contact details, and the expected date of receipt of the order – this will help us plan work in the nursery.

When will my order be confirmed?

Every order we receive is confirmed within 48 hours (working days). If during this time you do not receive an email from us, check your “spam” and “offers” or call us.

When can I pick up my order?

We adjust the dates of orders to meet your needs, so report the date of the planned collection 2 weeks in advance (February-April – 3 weeks in advance). This will facilitate the timely, efficient, and correct preparation of plants and their careful packaging.
Pickup of orders is possible from 12 September 2022 till 12 May 2023.

I’m a new customer, when do I have to pay?

We accept cash payments, credit cards, and bank transfers to our bank account based on a pro forma invoice before picking up your order. Pre-payment includes 100% of the order value. After making the payment, please send us confirmation of the transfer because it accelerates the preparation of the plants for pickup.
